Health systems fail to diagnose, care and treat people with tuberculosis at various points along the care continuum. Based on the principle of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), a people-centered approach ensures that interventions are tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each individual or community, thereby maximizing their effectiveness and sustainability.

PCF4TB is a jointly developed approach funded by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). This framework reflects the efforts of the Gates Foundation, The Royal Tropical Institute Netherlands (KIT), The World Health Organization (WHO), Linksbridge, TB Modelling and Analysis Consortium (TB MAC), and its refinement project is being led by KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation with input from 10 early adopter countries (Cambodia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Vietnam).
